![]() ![]() I personally think it likely that Drushka becomes Veruska (the name similarity could be explained by ages going by, and they share that Queen Amidala aesthetic), but what of the others? I’m hoping to see more about that in future games, but for the time being I’ve been entertaining the thought that Katrahaska might be Hammond. Now, I know the Kazakhs demanded the submarines, but at least one of them is not Kazakh (Ophelia). Their plan brings a lot of Kienger tech to The Emergence, and if it’s possible to believe that there’s more to the Emergence than is playable in AV2, then it’s possible that the Emergence and Sudra are the same world, explaining why Trace and Hammond eventually wind up and find rebirth chambers everywhere. It’s entirely possible that the Rusalki wouldn’t mention Hammond because Trace would only think to ask if they brought her up, but Hammond was with Samara and Indra 5000 was dead set on getting to her. So they become merpeople, and use a bunch of Kiengir technology to replicate the patternmind that got himself through the breach and traveling the worldstream - with Hammond, it seems, though she is also conveniently left out of their story in AV1. Indra-ish and Drushka are both pretty invested in the bodymodding trend by the time they start making the plan to look for a patternmind, trying to get A’ansur technology. Something I’ve been interested in is who the other Rusalki are. I also think the nanogates, along with the limited and very filtered information Trace is given about past events, are more than enough to induce hallucinations and sensory experiences and trick him into thinking he was infected. Plus, assuming Trace was actually affected, it would make more sense as to why Ophelia could do something about it. I’m not sure if there’s a conclusion on that at this point, but Damu’s whole thing is turning the weilder into a powerful beast of some kind so I feel like that’s the likely alternative to a pathogen that’s not even touched upon in AV2. The story of Athetos’ pathogen only comes from them, and the explanation of what happens to the other people on Kiengir seems mainly to just be somewhere vague between acquiring Damu and entering the breach. I’d never put it together that Ophelia was more likely responsible for the state of the other clones on Sudra until this clarified a specific way & reason the Rusalki would manipulate Trace into carrying out their will, and it makes a lot of sense. I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts on this, and am open to more accurate lore corrections.Įdit: Formatting, spelling, sentence structure for clarity. The killing of Katrahaska likely freed Athetos of her influence, altering the goal to protecting the Storm Talisman and waiting for the Rusalka to die, as they (especially Ophelia) are a threat to all universes. So Katrahaska used Athetos to kill the Sagiga who were using the Storm Talisman (Breach Attractor) to keep the Rusalka trapped on Ziu sudra. It is possible that Athetos was manipulated by Katrahaska in a similar way Elsenova manipulates Trace. The nanogates in Trace are important, because it keeps Trace’s perception of reality and sense of personhood separated from Athetos, it’s what makes him different from the other clones who are clearly suffering from Ophelia’s (or Damu’s) influence. I’m certain the only pathogen we can pin on Athetos is the poison that Elsenova mentions after Trace activates what she calls the “power filter.” Meaning now Elsenova has those nanogates, she can make a clone to control as well.īefore Trace asks Athetos if he is responsible for the Pathogen, Athetos makes it clear that the real truth would cause Elsenova to kill them both. In fact, it may be better than my original plan.įor obtaining Katrahaska’s nanogates to be a clear advantage, I get the impression that she (Katrahaska) was previously the one controlling Athetos and not the other way around. Given what we recently learned about the Sudran rebirth chamber, we could use this to our advantage. We have a fresh set of nanogates to do with whatever we please. “I realize I've failed in our primary objective. I strongly get the impression that Katrahaska was already at this point uncooperative or even renegade from the other Rusalka before these written events. ![]() He's holed up at the breach attractor now. ![]() I tried to stop him but failed he thinks I am dead. He is here, and he released some kind of plague. ![]() “Katrahaska got to him before I had a chance. She cannot be trusted and her exposition must be doubted. She only sees him as a tool and says whatever he wants to hear to maintain compliance. ![]()
