There is no virtual drive pointing to the c:\ drive either. So that was the problem, why I have en eventviewer full of messages pointing to my c:\ drive and Adobe dlls everytime I've tried to start Premiere still puzzles me. The first two works fine, but when trying to launch Video Editor the blue band animation bellow the button just starts but nothing happens. Now, I cant se the virtual drive referenced in any of the settings in Premiere (I only use real drive-letters for software), but I'm sure I've used it in the Open project or Add media dialogs at some point and that Premiere for some reason checks the availability of this drive as a part of the startup. You can get both in a bundle for under US100. You might be familiar with its sister, Adobe Photoshop Elements. I see that this virtual drive has not mountet correctly and after running the subst command again Premiere started like it normally would. In addition I have a virtual drive-letter (from using the subst command) pointing directly to the Documents folder. Down in my Documentsfolder I have a Video folder where Elements stores my projects bye default. I did that, it installed, and afterwards, clicked on the shortcut. I have a dedicated drive with all my personal folders. It was described to me as needing a very steep learning curve - it certainly does and as a result I will look elsewhere for video editing software.Thanks for all the suggestions. Note: If you dont see this window, check to see whether another plug-in is taking priority. i was going to finish up the fathers day 2021 video but later on that evening, when i clicked on video editor. So glad I just got the trial version, this software is not intuitive and incredibly non-user friendly. What am I doing wrongly? And how on earth do you stop a video in the timeline? I have searched the internet and the manual for answers but no luck. Elements Organizer is included with Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere. I have tried loading mp4, avi and mov but get the same result. First I noticed that for some reason, when I tried to put text in the video, the palette where the text goes came up horizontal, as it should, but once I put the text on, it turned vertical. Once the video is in the timeline it won't replay from the icon in the top left. I was working on my Premiere Elements 2022 on 6-2-2023, that's today. Same thing happens if I left click the video in the timeline. For me, PSE 2021 worked fine with Big Sur but will open in Monterey only after I restart my iMac (the latest Intel machine). If I dbl left click it here it plays video and audio in a little window in the centre of the screen but if I drag the video from the top left to the timeline then press play it plays audio but not video. I open Adobe Premiere Elements 2020, click on video editor, click on add media, choose the video, it puts it in on the top left in the projects assets bin. The audio plays but not the video even though it can be seen in the Video 1 and Audio 1's Timeline. I am also having difficulty replaying videos after loading them into Adobe Premiere Elements 2020. I right click on the taskbar and end task in the background processes with Adobe Premiere Elements 2020. Also happening to me as a new user of the trial version of Adobe Premiere Elements 2020. Adobe has launched Photoshop Elements 2023 and Premiere Elements 2023, introducing a slew of simple, streamlined editing effects to bring images and movies.
